The assignment is called “Midterm Review.”
If you do not have internet access, you can print out a copy in school this week or at the library over break
To complete the assignment or print:
Login to Mathxlforschool.com
Click on "Homework and Tests" on the Left Hand Side
Select "Midterm Review"
Click "Question 1
---> you can begin working. You have 3 attempts for each question. There is a "help me solve this" and a "view an example button on the right hand side". use these tools to help you!

This assignment must be completed by Wednesday, January 1st.
Your midterm will be the week after we return from break. It will cover all of the topics that are given in this assignment!
Task 2: Choose a Project to complete.
This will be due on Friday January 3rd.
Choice 1: Poster: Proportional Relationships
Divide a poster board into 4 areas labeled: Word Problem, Rate Table, Equation, and Graph
a) Create a word problem that describes a proportional relationship.
b) Show and explain how you would create a rate table for the proportional relationship.
c) Show and explain how you would graph the relationship on a coordinate plane.
d) Show and explain how you would write an equation to represent the proportional relationship.
Make sure you clearly identify the constant of proportionality in your work.
Choice 2: Create a Cartoon:
This project must contain a comic strip that demonstrates or explains one of the following concepts:
- Using Order of operations with Fractions and Integers.
- Finding Unit Rate – including complex fractions
- Solving word problems using proportions
- Showing proportional relationships using tables, graphs, and equations.
The comic strip must contain...
- A minimum of 8 panels (scenes)
-Clearly drawn characters
- A clear explanation of your chosen concept.
-Neatness counts – I must be able to read your words! (You can use multiple pages or even a poster board.)
