THE FORMAT: The purpose of the test is to test a students ability in Mathematical thinking, comprehending passages, logical reasoning and an understanding of the writing process. The test consists of 95 questions with 2 and a half hours to take the test. The test has 2 sections: I. Verbal: 1. 5 Scrambled Paragraphs (The understanding of writing) -- worth 2 points each. 2. 10 Logical Reasoning (Logical Reasoning) 3. 30 Passage based questions (Passage Comprehension: inferences, main idea, detail etc.) II. Mathematics: 50 questions that test various topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Probability. |
